Saartje's Bootees

I couldn't resist making these for a friend of mine who just had a baby. I keep seeing this pattern all over Ravelry and have favorited several finished projects. It took me about an hour to make each bootie and the end result was so worth it. I love the pink and brown color combo for baby girls. Just too cute!!!

Pattern: Saartje's Bootees (Ravelry link)
Yarn: Rowan All Seasons Cotton
Color: Soul (Pink) #2521 & Bark (Brown) #2526
Size: 6 months
Needles: US Size 1.5 (2.5mm)
Verdict: I love how they turned out.
Modifications: I wanted these to fit a 6 to 9 month old
baby so I used a heavier yarn than the original pattern
calls for. They turned out just the right size.

These are addictive. I usually make baby socks with my left over sock yarn but I think I may just have to use it to make another pair of these. ;o)

These are just precious. I have friends who are having grandbabies and co-workers having babies! These will be such great gifts.
BTW-I'm paging back through your blog and love what I'm finding. Wish I'd been a knitter years ago so I could make everything that I like!
