So I've been in a bit of a knitting slump lately. I haven't really felt like knitting after I get home from work. Too tired? Maybe. Too lazy? Possibly. Lost my knitting mojo? I think that is what it is. Not sure if it's because we can't get any real spring weather to stay for more than a day or an hour around here. I need some sunny weather so I can sit out on the back patio and relax. Maybe have the knitting crew over. I have so many sketches of summer sweaters that I would like to design but I'm just not feeling it. I love the design process and am so into it once I start. Now I just have to figure out how to get started? Maybe I should just sit down with sketches, pen, paper and my knitting and see what happens.
To try to get my knitting mojo back I made myself start a baby blanket for a friend who's wife is due in June. I'm usually dying to cast on a sweater or socks or something. I usually find it hard to finish things up before casting on for the next project. The mindless knitting of the baby blanket is helping to get the creative juices flowing. I got my Socks that Rock package in the mail a few weeks ago which is also helping.
The yarn and the pattern are beautiful. Very springy colors. That Stephanie Pearl-McPhee is a genius.
I should be posting in the next couple of days about a contest that my friend Pam is going to be running on her blog. I donated a ball of Noro sock yarn in color S150. I'm sure Pam is going to have some great prizes. As soon as the contest is up I'll post a link.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

That pattern looks really cute! I'm interested to see those knitted up.
Sorry to hear about your slump. It happens, though. I'm with you on the weather - sitting on the patio in the sun and knitting sounds like heaven.
Yeah this weather is a bummer, I'm hoping it will get me to finish my sweater, I suppose I should becasue then maybe it will warm up so I cna't wear it till fall!
Love the yarn from BMFA!
