Jewelery for your Knitting

My friend Pam just opened her very own Etsy shop PrettyKnittyJewelry. We are all very proud of her she is soooooo creative. Her row counters help people like me who always loose track of what row they are on. The row counter clicker thingy never works for me because I always forget to click at the end of the row. I tried the hash marks on paper but I forget those too. I like Pam's counters because when I get to my counter I know to slip the ring below onto my needle. Pam does a much better job explaining how to use them in her shop.

You can see my row counter in use above. Pam made one for everyone in our knitting group. Thanks Pam!!! She has different sizes, 20 or 100 row counters. You don't have to be a sock knitter to use them. Everyone needs a little bling for their knitting.

I couldn't resist shopping again at the Loopy Ewe. They just got in some Dream in Color Starry. I'm thinking about making a Clapotis with the Black Parade colorway that I bought.

I also bought some Dye Dreams Comfy Sox. The colors are beautiful. I bought one skein of both the Magenta and the Spring Green. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to use the Spring Green for the Spring 09 KAL that my knitting group is doing.

We are going to knit sock patterns with the word spring in them. Not sure if I'm going to start the Spring Fern socks (Ravelry link) first or Spring Forward socks(Ravelry link). I'm a little behind because we started the KAL the first day of spring. I still need to finish my socks from last months KAL.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!! So no this year I didn't get to go down to the St. Patrick's Day parade. As a kid I marched in the parade every year. I was in drill team 6th, 7th and 8th grade and I loved it. The only thing that I didn't look forward to was dodging the poop that was left behind by the Police Mounted Unit horses. Those were some seriously large piles. I had to march around them, which wasn't very easy, while trying to stay in line with the girl next to me and behind me.

So I found a fun little quiz to find your Leprechaun name. I'm Irish but I thought I would give it a try anyways. My Leprechaun name is:
I don't think I'll be changing my name anytime soon. Leave a comment and tell me what your Leprechaun name is.

Yesterday I got my email from Scout's Swag. I had entered the lottery to win a spot in the sock club. I won!!!!!! I can't wait to see what she is going to send.

I hope everyone has/had a Happy St. Patrick's Day and I can't wait to hear your Leprechaun names.

Socks, socks and more sock yarn

Yes, I have more than enough sock yarn but, I just can't stop ordering more. First, I joined the Socks that Rock sock club.

I received a beautiful pattern that is made with beads called Queen of Beads (Ravelry Link). When you join the club you receive 6 shipments for the year. They consist of a colorway that is dyed specifically for the sock club. A pattern from a well known designer and some fun extras. I joined late so I should be receiving my next shipment in March. Can't wait to see what colorway and pattern will arrive. I think there are still some spots open if you're interested.

Next, I joined the Sunshine Yarns Harry Potter sock club. I've always wanted to make some house socks, Gryffindor of course. There are also a few spots still open and you can pick your house skein and yarn type. Next, through an ad on Ravelry I found Hazel Knits Etsy shop. I couldn't resist the beautiful colorways that were available.

It's amazing all the beautiful yarns and patterns I've found on Ravelry. I'm not sure if that is good or bad because I have a hard time resisting buying everything. As if that's not enough sock yarn I entered the drawing to win a spot in the Scout's Swag sock club.

Hopefully I win a spot!!!
